Badminton becomes a official game at the 25th barcelona Olympic and Korea had gold in men's doubles(Mr. Pack Ju Bong, Kim Moon Su) and women's doubles(Ms. Hwang, hyee young, Chung, So Young). Ms. Bang Soo Hyun got a silver in women's single and she also participated women's double that borough her another bronze. That was a heroicdeed to the Korea badminton history. Olympic, Kim dong Moon, Gil Young Ah company has gold in mixed match, bang, soo hyun also had gold in women's single. Korea badminton was already unbeatable position by the time. Now Korea badminton has over 1.35million population together with national players glorious victories
Under a catch phrase as 'LOVE, HARMONY, and GLOBAL COMMUNICATION through BADMINTON', 1991 the 1st Korea OPEN had been launched. 250 players from 24 international countries were in competition with total sum of US$100,000 proze. Prize total goes up to US$300,000 from 15th OPEN. Also the Korea OPEN become an international certified 6star grade grand prix competition that approved by IBF. More than 30 countries are participating Korea OPEN since 7th. |
